Life ReflectionsCharles Edward Sanders was born August 19, 1929 in St. Louis, 140 to Isaiah and Almeta Sanders, they both have preceded him in death. He was the youngest of two children. Ed received his elementary education in Richmond Heights and Webster Groves School district. He graduated from Douglas high School in 1950. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Richmond Heights by Rev. James E. Fiddmont, Sr. Ed owned his own business, Sanders hauling and Sanita-tion, Co. and was well known in the Town and Country community, where he served for 55+ years. He married Lonnie Toney in 1950. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until her death. To this union there were two children born, Gregory Jerome Sanders (preceded him in death) and Mark Edward Sanders. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, and enjoyed being a member of the Raccoon's Social Club. He leaves to cherish: one son, Mark Sanders and one daughter-in-law, Gail Sanders; one brother, Robert Sanders; three grandchildren, Christopher Sanders, Rodney Sanders and Marquetta Caitlin; 9 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Effie Roberts, Peggy Bishop and Clara Roberts; a long time friend, Larry Lawrence; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
