Carol "Candie" Darlene Parker Royal was born to the late Arvell Allison and Thelma (James) Parker on November 3, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up on New York Street in Meacham Park. Her sister, Beverly Watkins, preceded her in death. Carol attended J. Milton Turner School and graduated from Kirkwood High School. She started her career with Chrysler Corporation in the Personnel Department in Fenton. She transferred to Detroit, Michigan and was promoted to a Scheduling Analyst. In 2001, she retired as Production Control Supervisor after 31 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed creating projects for all occasions through her company "It's a Wrap." She also enjoyed walking through the rain. She was a great storyteller and told many stories over and over again with "alternate endings". Carol loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished family gatherings and sociable events. She was always there to lend a helping hand for anyone in need without any question. She loved her scooter and the many trips she took. Her best rides were the scooter races she had with her sister, Beverly. Carol departed this life on August 26, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters Gina Roriex and Leslie (Steve) Tilmon; one son, Turner Jason Royal; seven grandchildren Ryan, Kendrick, Angela, Phillip, Jason, Deyon, and Jordyn; four great grandchildren Zyan, Shakur , Dallas, and Kendick Jr.; two brothers, Therone Frazier(May) and Arvel Parker (Gloria), one sister, Betty Jo Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
