Deacon Bobby Gene WilliamsBobby Gene Williams was born October 22, 1940 in Henderson, Texas. He was one of 12 children born to Arthur and Mintory Williams,His parents, son (Mitchell Williams, Sr.) and 5 siblings preceded him in death (Ora Augmon IV, Cameron, Gertie Stafford, Lee and Billy Jean Williams).Bobby attended Carlise Elementary School and graduated from Hill High School in 1960. He served overseas in Baumholder, Germany. Bobby was a member of the Battery D. 5th Missile Battalion 6th Artillery, During his service, he was awarded a medal for good conduct,the basic missile man badge and given sharpshooter recognition.After his honorable discharge from the United States Army, Bobby worked for TWA and American Airlines for 43 years. He retired fromAmerican Airlines in October 2006.In 1965, Bobby united with the Church of the Living God C.W.F.F. Temple 226 in Palo Aalto, California under the leadership of Elder L.S.Stoling. In 2001, Bobby relocated to O'Fallon, MO where he continued his work for the Lord at the Church of the Living God, C.W.F.F. Temple#29 under the leadership of Ennis Tait, Sean Boone, Vincent Donnell and Robert Caruth, Jr. He worked diligently in the church as an usher,trustee, ordained Deacon and Vice Chairman of the Trustee Board. Bobby loved the Lord and labored faithfully in many other capacities ofthe church in support of the pastor and the ministry.Bobby met and later married the lady in RED who swept him off his feet, Mable L. Williams ("MY WIFE" in his own words). They were unitedin holy matrimony October 22, 1966 and sustained their union for almost 50 years.Bobby loved being with family, laughing/having fun with friends, barbecuing, fishing, sports, traveling and fellowshipping at church. He touchedthe lives of so many people with his smile and generosity. He kept a sense of humor until the Lord called him home.On April 4, 2015, while surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends, Bobby quietly transitioned from this life to a life on high.He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Mable L. Williams; his children, J'Quana Dowdy (Ernest) of Moreno, California, Timothy andAnthony Galloway of O'Fallon, MO and Quincy Thornz of California; his sisters, Annie Pierce, Evonne Brooks and Narcenne Jackson of Tyler, TX,Lilly Jo Walker of Summerfield, TX, Carrie Mae Ballard of Mt. Enterprise, TX and Corrine Hytower of Fort Worth, TX; his grandchildren, MitchellB. Williams, II, (Regina) of Fort Worth, TX, Christopher Murray of San Jose, California, and Ronnie Murray (Jonna) of Stockton, CA, six great-grand-children; godchildren, Elijah Huston and Hailey Poole; a host of nieces, nephews., cousins, other family and friends. He will be greatly missed. .
