Bobbie Jean Freeman

January 2, 1955 — November 12, 2011

My Life Story ‘For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, L have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8 NKJV I was born Bobbie Jean Crum, to James and Laura Mae Crum, on January 2, 1955, in Memphis, TN. I was the oldest child born to this union. My father James "Jack' Crum Sr., preceded me in death. I have known since a young age that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I was a member of Murchison Tabernacle C.M.E. Church, under the leadership of Rev. James T. Stewart. I was educated in the Saint Louis Public School System. I retired after 25 years from the State of Missouri Department of Mental Health in 2010. August 21, 1970 was the proudest day of life, my only child Cassundra, was born. We have shared many years of precious memories. On January 2, 1987, I married the man of my dreams, James Leon Freeman Sr., he also preceded me in death and has been patiently waiting at the Pearly Gates for my arrival. Also awaiting my arrival, was my grandmother Mary Jane Warren, two of my brothers, William Dean Morgan and Willie Dean Morgan, my sister, Janie Mae Holpe and my great niece, Sharron Tunstall. I leave to cherish all my many memories: My loving and spiritual mother; Laura Mae Crum (Memphis), keep sending those prayers up, we'll always need them. My wonderful, devoted daughter; Cassundra Hill, remember live your life because I lived mine. My son-in-law; Ira Hill, I know you're going to take care of my girls, I trust you. My two granddaughters; Ka'Niesha ‘Ne-Ne' Robertson, make me proud, I'm depending on you to take of your mother and great grandmother, Lyonna Pooh Hill, I will always be with you and I love both of you dearly. My two brothers; Jerome (Catherine) Crum (Mississippi) and James Crum and my loving sisters; Clara Mae Edwards (Memphis) and Hattie B. (George) Jurnick, hold on to all those childhood memories, they'll last forever. Thank you, Aunties; Ida B. Mull and Trudy (Flem) Ross, for being there throughout the years. To my dear friend; Thelma Coffee, thank you for the many years of just plain ole fun. Sandra Warner we've become very close in my last days, I will cherish the time we spent together. For my daughter from another mother; Richelle Page, continue being the sister Cassundra never had. Daniel and Janette Hamilton words can't begin to express the wonderful works God is doing through you'll. For all my nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, know that you all have a very special place in my heart forever. On November 12, 2011, at 10:25 a.m., I could hear my dear father saying come home my child your work here is done, so I obeyed, and took my last breath surrounded by family and friends. Interment - Lake Charles Cemetery 7775 St. Charles Rock Road St. Louis, MO 63133 .
