Betty Ann Fleming

July 16, 1933 — April 22, 2020

Life Reflections Betty Ann Bazile Fleming was the youngest of five children born to Anthony and Mildred Bazile, on July 16, 1933, in Ste. Gene-vieve, Missouri. Both parents and siblings Ida, Henry,Anthony and Patsy preceded her in death. Betty was lovingly known as B.B. which stands for Betty Bazile. This nickname was given toher by her great niece Richele Bazile Morgan. Betty was a loving and selfless person. She workedfor many years as a branch manager for the St. Louis Teacher's Credit Union. As a manager, she was very supportive of her employees and she served as an example of solid leadership which is noteworthy in that she was a manager at a time when it was rare for a woman of color to hold a leadership position. Betty paved the way for many and she remains an outstanding example of putting others first while being steadfast and ear-nest. Prior to marriage, Betty lived for many years with her sister Ida and together, they cared for their mother. Betty enjoyed having a good time and she vacationed often with Ida and played cards in the evening with her husband Everett. On August 8, 1982, Betty married Everett John Fleming, Jr. Betty was a faithful and dutiful wife. She served as the primary caregiver in their household and she held everything together. Betty was a good friend and loving mother to Everett's children Bruce Fairington Fleming (Cheryl), Kerri Annette Fleming Coburn (John) and Marc Darren Fleming. Betty ensured that the Fleming householdwas filled with love and that everything was in its right place and well organized. Betty was known to her granddaughters Allyson Nicole Coburn, Natalie Loraine Coburn and HannahCole Fleming as B.B. She spoke often of her granddaughters and referred to them as her girls. B.B. could always be counted on to provide no nonsense guidance and a listening ear to her girls. Left to cherish Betty's memory are her loving husband Everett, children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law,grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends. Interment: J.B.
