Life Reflections Bettie Jean Mitchell was born on August 23, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Myrtle Simmons and James Davis. As an adolescent, she gave her life toChrist and was Baptised at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Obadi Jones.In1970, Bettiemoved to Elmwood Park and joined St. Luke A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. Nathaniel Harper where she sang in the youth choir and lead many songs.In 1974, she graduated from Ritenour Senior High in 1977, she received her AAS Degree from St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. In 1984, Bettie was united in Holy Matrimony to Eugene Johnson and out of this union came Cortnei Eugena Johnson and David Eugene Johnson. She was employed with the Department of Agriculture in the accounting department then later moved to FSA. After 25 years of service, Bettie departed from her employer due to sickness.Jesus told his disciples in John 14:3, " And if I go and prepare a place or you, I will come back take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. " On January 26th, Bettie heard her Savior calling and she went home to be with Him I everlasting paradise. Bettie was the proud mother of Cortnei (Anthony) McPherson and David, and grandmother of Kortney, Tamaura, and Micah. She also leaves to cheish her memories her mother MyrtleSIMMONS AND HER FATER jAMES dAVIS. foursiter; Jacueline (Ahmadou) Mbacke, Grealdine, (Donald) Fair, Annette Mitchell, and Caroline Davis. Two brothers; Richard (Ginger) Mitchell, and James Davis Jr..Bettie also leaves her loving memories to nieces, aunts, nephews, cousins, and friends.And her special friend Kenneth Lewis.Disposition:CremationSaint Louis Cremation .
