ObituaryArnold Gene Atkins, the youngest son born to the late Walter Curtis and Mattie Lucille (nee Moore) Atkins, was born February 14, 1960. One sibling, David, followed him since his demise. Arnold was reared from birth in Christ Hollness Temple where he participated in youth activities. He attended the St. Louis County Public Schools. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1978, and served 4 years as Sergeant. He received several awards: The Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon (London), Air Force Training Ribbon, and Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon. After returning from the Air Force he was employed in Veteran's Affair at the Ituman And Resource Command Center. fte retired due to illness in 2007 with 24 years of service. Arnold relocated to Mainville, ON in December, 2011. Ite attended Strayer University in Ohio, pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Arnold was a kind and caring person, and always helped others when needed. He leaves with cherished memories: stepmother, Maxine Atkins of Centreville, IL; five siblings, Clydie Barmore of St. Louis, MO, Rahrah Rashad (Renee) of Maineville, ON, Ali Atkins (Bashirah) of st. Peters, MO, Michael Atkins of CAr and Pamela Stephenson (Joseph) of St. Louis, Missouri; uncle, Marcellars Moore (Rita) of st. Louis, MO and a special friend, Helena Mitchell of Kentucky, numerous nieces, neph- ews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Interment:J.B. National CemeterySt. Louis, MO 63126 .
