Life Reflections Annie Louise Cyrus, 77, of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018 at Barnes Hospital with her son Donnie by her side. Annie was born July 8, 1941 in Columbia, MS to Susan Ann Cyrus and Thomas Alfred, both of whom preceded her in death. Annie had a brother, Ernest Rawls and a stepbrother, William "Bill" Rawls who also preceded her in death. Annie accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She graduated from Globe Academy in Columbia, MS then went on to further her education at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. After leaving JSU, she made her home in St. Louis, MO. Annie was employed by Stix, Baer & Fuller (now Dillard's) for many years. She later became self-employed doing domestic work until her health failed. Annie was known by everyone in the neighborhood and beyond. She was always quick to lend a helping hand, sitting with the sick and shut-in, sending a plate of food or simply sharing a beer and a smile, she was always there for you. Annie leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Donnie Elbert Cyrus (Denise) of Chicago, IL; grandsons, Jayson (Makita) and Emmanuel Snow; one great-granddaughter, Mya; and two great-grandsons, Max and Major; sister, Edna Johnson of Portage, IN; stepsister, Lottie Thornton of Los Angeles, CA; Best friend, Bertha Akins of St. Louis, NO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
