Alice was the first born of four childrento the union of John and Evelener Ewing of St. Louis, Missouri. John, Charles and William (who died at birth)preceded her in death.Alice confessed her life to Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church of Meacham Park in Kirkwood, MO.Alice served in the Woman's Army Corps, commonly known as "WAC" in the United States Military from 1944 to1946 when she was honorably discharged.Alice was married to Sutton Eugene Campbell on July 10, 1949 until his death. She was later married to JuliusPhillips on October 4, 1986 until his death.She loved playing piano and was the pianist for many years at First Baptist Church of Meacham Park, First BaptistChurch of Webster Groves, and First Baptist Church of Robertson where she was the musical director of theRobertson Male Chorus.Alice departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2015. She is survived by many generations of nieces and nephews, otherrelatives, and friends.Interment:Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery2900 SheridanSt. Louis, MO 63126 .
