Aletha Shepperd

Life Reflections Born on December 26, 1938, Aletha was the 6th child of Gertrude Ford Harris and McKinley Harris of Earl, Arkansas. At a young age, the family moved to Blytheville, Arkansas where Aletha was educated. At the age of 18, Aletha moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she met and married Glenn E. (Petey) Shepperd. To this union two children were born. Petey and Aletha remained happily married for 52 years until his death in 2015. Aletha received her registered nursing certificate, and worked many years for St. John's Mercy Hospital until her health prevented her from continuing. She was later em-ployed by and retired from Chrysler Corporation. Although Aletha's parents, siblings and husband preceded her in death, she will be sadly missed by: her daughter Glynis, her son Tracey and her grand-daughter Whitney, as well as step-daughters Ouida and Charlotte Diana, many grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
