Life ReflectionsAlberta Rutherford was born September 21, 1921 in Hub, Mississippi. Her husband Monty Rutherford, parents William and Mary J. Toney, brother, James Henry Peters all preceded her in death. Alberta was baptized at an early age at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Heights. Missouri by the late Reverend D.W. Thomas. She was a member of the pastors aide, served on the Andrew Daniels Library Committee, worked at the Church's Day Care - she loved children very much, and attended Wednesday Morning Bible Study taught by Pastor Oliver K. Patterson, Sr. Alberta was faithful in attendance to her Church until her health failed. Alberta was a product of Lincoln Elementary School in Richmond Heights. Missouri and Sumner Nigh School in St. Louis, Missouri. She retired from the St. Louis County Hospital in Clayton, Missouri after working for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Alberta departed this life on September 27, 2013 at the National Health Center (NNC) in Town and Country, Missouri. The family would like to take this time to thank the staff at the (NHC) for the outstanding job they did caring for Alberta. Alberta leaves to mourn her passing: her sister, Imogene Hawkins. St. Louis, MO; sisters-in-law, Marlean Peters, St. Louis, MO; special nephew, niece, cousins and friends: Bob and Iniss Yancy, Carol Hall, Mary Moore, Gilbert Smith, Percy and Karen May. a host of other relatives and friends.Interment:Oak Hill Cemetery10305 Big Bend BlvdSt. Louis, MO 63122 .
