A LOOK BACK AT A LIFEAlbert Kindon Harris was born April of 1930 to Mrs. Beatrice Elizabeth Bunn and Mr. BenjaminJames Harris, Sr. in the independent city of St. Louis, Missouri.In his early years, he was an active member of the Central Baptist Church. After graduating fromSumner High School, at the age of 17, Albert volunteered for Military Service in the U.S. Army AirCorp, which later became the U.S. Air Force. His Air Force duty assignments took him to suchlocations as England, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Denmark, Iran, Tulsa Air Base in Oklahoma, andTravis Air Base in California.While in the U.S. Air Force, Albert continued to increase his educational achievements by completing various military classes with the Air University. He also enrolled in the following University ExtensionPrograms at the University of California, the University of Washington-Seattle, and the University ofMaryland to achieve a degree in Business Administration.His educational achievement aided in his ability to obtain promotions in Military Rank. Albert reachedthe Rank of Chief Master Sergeant. One of his tasks eventually led to him being responsible for the supervision of military and civilian personnel involving an 18 million dollar program. He received severalAir Force Commendation Medals and a Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his service.During his military career he always took time to reach out to his brothers' children via post cards andletters with information about various places he visited as they grew up into young men and women.On several occasions he would take military leave to return home and visit with family, relatives, andfriends.After Thirty Years of service in the Air Force, Albert decided to retire and take on a civilian position at the"Aeronautical Chart and Information Center" in Saint Louis. He worked there until his mother becameill, at which time, he retired from his civilian position to look after her until she passed.His passing is mourned by his sister Elorist Perry, sister-in-law Phyllis Harris.... Nephews/Nieces: Benjamin Harris, Jr., Dianna Harris, Pamela Harris, Demitri Perry, Dominic Harris Regina Galloy. Grand (Nephews/Nieces): Malik, Najja, James, Skylar, Gabriel, Jordan, Amber, Kaylen and Mason.Family who preceded him in death, Beatrice Bunn, brothers Benjamin and John Harris, and one childlost at an early age.Interment:J.B.
