Life Reflections 100 years of productive life came to an end when Abbie Aldridge was summoned from her labor to reward on December 19, 2011. Abbie Aldridge was born June 12, 1911 to the late Reverend Charlie C. O'Neal and the late Jeanette Moore-O'Neal. All of her siblings, Mr. Johnny H, O'Neal, Nr. Charlie C. O'Neal, Sr. of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Mable Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Faye Stone, Mrs. Bessie Latham of Mephis, Tennessee, and Mrs. Ida Hamblett of Chicago, Illinois preceded her in death. Her Life Abbie professed her belief in Christ at an early age. She chopped cotton and weighed cotton when she was a little girl in Mississippi. Abbie moved to St. Louis, MO. Her profession was a cook. She met and married King Aldridge. they lived in Kirkwood, MO for 20 years. Later they moved to Chicago, Illinois. Abbie would say "The good Lord giveth and the food Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." Every man for himself, and God for us all", "I never thought I would see a Black Man become President of the United States". At age 98, it was her desire to return to St. Louis, MO to move with her nieces, Joan McDaniel and Brenda Williams. She received a proclamation from the city of Berkeley, MO when she be cane a centurion. Abbie loved music, her family, and a fresh cup of hot coffee every morning. Most important of all she hoved the Lord. She leaves to cherish her precious loved ones: Mrs. Lucy Pugh, sister of Chicago, IL; a host of great nieces, and great nephews, cousins, and friends. Today we say Aunt Abbie, good-bye. Many happy memories we cherish with tears in our eyes. Our Hearts are Grateful for having you in our lives always teaching and giving us love. You were so wise. She never complained when asked how are you feeling today, Aunt Abbie? .
