Karl Bruce 'Chicken Man' Cannon

Life ReflectionKarl Bruce Cannon, affectionately known as "Chicken Man", was born on November 21, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Howard and Thelma Jewell Cannon. tie was their only child. Both of hisparents preceded him in death. Karl grew up in Kirkwood, Missouri and was educated in the Kirkwood and St. Louis Public School Systems. lie also at-tended the St. Louis Job Corp. Karl accepted Christ at an early age at his grand-mother's church, Church of Christ Holiness in St. Louis. Throughout his life, he was an active member of various churches in the St. Louis area, and was a member of the St. Louis Metro Choir. Over the last several years, Karl attended Damascus Community Church in Ferguson, Missouri until his death. In the early 1970's, Karl was employed with Flexolite Fiber Glass Company. lie later became a bus driver with First Student Bus Company and Laidlaw Bus Company, where he worked for over 10 years. Karl was married for a short period of time before the marriage was dissolved. Years later, Karl had two children, Davelle and Davara Cannon, with Tasha Wen. He also cared for his stepson, Daion Olden. Karl had a true passion for motorcycles, vintage cars, smack talking while playing Spades, and traveling. One of Karl's favorite past times was to watch the TV show, "Walker Texas Ranger" which he would watch for hours and hours. Karl leaves to cherish his memory: his son and daughter, Davelle and Davara, stepson, Daion and their mother, Tasha Giden, his best friend, Jerry Nesbitt, Sr., his brothers/cousins, Gary Hicks (Octavio) and Marshall Randell (Tamara), a very special cousin, Owanzetta "Bobby" Williams, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
