Ella Mae Thompson

August 11, 1933 — October 3, 2015

Life Reflections Ella Mae Thompson was one of the most caring wives and mother anyone could ask for.She worked until her body had nothing left to give all to ensure her husband, Lloyd, Sr., hersons, Lloyd, Jr., Raamah, Anthony, Kevin and Christopher had everything they could possiblyneed to succeed in life. Ella was one of the most compassionate persons ever to walk the earth. She never encount-ered a situation that could not be managed with love and understanding. As the Charge Nurseof Christian Hospitals Emergency Room, Ella's dedication and responsibility to the communitywas second only to her dedication and responsibility to her family. Ella was as big on educationas her late husband. She instilled these values in her children not only with words but by exampleas shown when she went back to Saint Louis University to obtain a Masters Degree in Nursing. Ella leaves behind five sons and their family's LLOYD, JR., of Tacoma, WA (wife Jocelyn, children; Lynetta, Reyallan and Chantelle), RAAMAH of Boston, MA, (wife Kim, children; Raamah, Jr.,Tiara and Lloyd, grandchild Ella), ANTHONY, SR., St. Louis, MO, (wife Gay, children; Anthony, Jr., and Gabielle), KEVIN, SR., Dallas, TX, (wife Patricia, children; Shalandrea, Kevin, Jr., Desiree, Adrian, Keyana, grandchildren; Kassity, Cordell), CHRISTOPHER of Florissant, MO. Ella alsoleaves behind her two sister's Erma Butzen and Gwen Edwards, their husbands Michael and Calvin, her sisters-in-law Verde Thompson and Laura Thompson as well as a host of nieces andnephews.Reflections of a Daughter-in-lawMrs. Ella Thompson was my mother-in-law, a title many mother's-in-law can't hold. I thought mymother was the only lady who was humble, respectful and prayed for guidance in marriage and lifeuntil met Mrs. Thompson. She was a lady, she tried to please everyone whether they were right orwrong. She respected her husband no matter what, and showed four of her five sons how their wivesshould respect as well by their wives. Although I didn't always take all of her advice on everything, Irespected her on every piece of advice she gave me. I love her and will miss her.Gay ThompsonInterment:(Monday, October 12, 2015)J.B.
